(01) — Biography
Noor Halden makes photographs and short films for fashion houses, makers and magazines — mostly outdoors, mostly at the hours other people avoid.
Trained as a printer in Antwerp before ever owning a camera, Noor still thinks in paper: in how a picture will sit on a page, how a white will hold, how much shadow a fold can carry. Twelve years and two hundred commissions later, the method is unchanged — small crews, long days, no strobes unless the sun refuses to show up.
The studio splits its year between a north-facing room on the Scheldt and a rooftop in Roma Norte. Represented in Europe by Field Office, Paris.
